Compass Rose button

When you are going places, you need direction. This button is a replica of the compass rose on a map of Barbados from 1650 (see photo), and the Fleur-de-lis points you to the north. It is a variation on a zwirnknopf button. It is made from wood, cotton thread, cotton fabric and a brass charm.  It is 2” square.
